After the release of Lollipop update recently, many zenfone 6 users requested for a tutorial on how to root Zenfone 6 lollipop version. So today Zenfone Blog is here with root zenfone 6 tutorial.

2. Intel Android USB Drivers. Download them HERE.

Steps to Root Zenfone 6 Lollipop

1. Turn on USB Debugging on Zenfone 6. Tutorial HERE.

2. Connect your phone to pc.

3. Your pc should recognize ASUS Android BootLoader Interface and ASUS Composite ADB Interface.

4. Now extract the One Click Root tool.

5. Run Root.bat (double click). Wait for the root process to complete. Your phone will reboot several times.

6. Done!

You have successfully rooted your Asus Zenfone 6.

Root Zenfone 6 : Recently a new version of firmware is out for Asus Zenfone 6, v2.21.40.39. So our previous tutorials on how to root zenfone 6 will no longer work with this new firmware. After this latest update, many of the zenfone 6 users raised a question on how to root zenfone 6 running on latest firmware.

So today Zenfone-Blog is here with the tutorial on how to root zenfone 6 firmware v2.21.40.39. Simply follow the below steps and root zenfone 6.

Things you'll need:

1. Fastboot.img. Download it HERE.

2. RootZenfoneKitkatv3. Download it HERE.

3. ADB Fastboot Tool. Download it HERE.

4. Intel Android USB Drivers. Download it HERE.

How to Root Zenfone 6 Firmware v2.21.40.39

1. First, install the Intel Android USB Drivers in your pc.

2. Enable USB Debugging in your zenfone 6. Tutorial HERE.

3. Turn off the phone and enter fastboot mode by pressing power button + volume up together.

4. Now connect the phone to pc using USB cable.

5. Extract the ADB Fastboot Tool. Place the fastboot.img in the extracted ADB folder.

6. In ADB folder hold shift + right click and choose "open command window here".

7. In the command window type the following commands one by one.

fastboot devices (To check whether your phone is connected to pc)

fastboot flash fastboot fastboot.img

8. Now wait for the process to complete. The phone reboots.

9. Now extract the RootZenfoneKitKatv3.

10. Execute Root-Zenfone.bat (Double click). Wait till completion, phone reboots several times.

11. Now execute EnterShell.bat. In the command window type su

12. You can see SuperSU pop up in your zenfone 6 asking for root access.

That's it! Root Zenfone 6 process is completed.

Though these rooting guides are quiet clear, many of the users are facing problems in understanding them. So, one of the xda developer created a software called One Click Root which is capable of rooting all the Asus Zenfone series (Zenfone 4/5/6 and Zenfone 2) just with one click. So, follow the below steps to root your zenfone.

This Rooting Kit works for all versions of zenfone series which includes zenfone 4/5/6 having Android kitkat or Android Lollipop as operating system.
The recently released Asus Zenfone 2 can also be rooted using this rooting kit.

1. Make sure you install the Intel Driver and Asus Drivers before using the rooting kit.

2. Now, turn on USB debugging in the developer options and connect your phone to pc.

3. Your pc should recognise ASUS Android BootLoader Interface and ASUS Composite ADB Interface.
