Zenfone 2 Stock Rom : If you ever messed up your zenfone 2 and you want to restore it original state, then the only way is to flash zenfone 2 stock rom manually by downloading it from Asus device support page.

Download Zenfone 2 Stock Rom:

First of all, you need to identify the firmware version installed on your zenfone 2. You can find this in software information, under the build number. Just navigate to Settings -> About -> Software Information -> Build number.

It looks something like WW_12.16.5.61. So, here your software version is 12.16.5.61. Now visit Asus Official Device Support page and download the original stock rom from there.

How to Flash Stock Rom on Zenfone 2:

In this tutorial I'm taking WW_12.16.6.61 as an example.

1. Once you have downloaded the full stock rom, rename the zip file to WW_12.16.7.61.
2. The reason why we did this is, by renaming the zip file the phone gets notified that a new version of software is available to install.
3. Copy the renamed zip file to internal memory of your zenfone 2.
4. Disconnect the phone from pc, you'll get a notification of available update.
5. Install it. Now the phone reboots with the fresh stock rom flashed in it.

This process does not wipe your internal or external sdcard. But it removes ROOT and restores Custom recovery to stock recovery.

Zenfone 2 Stock Rom: Steps to Flash Stock Rom on Asus Zenfone 2

Zenfone 4 Stock Rom: Howdy Zenions, today I'm here to share the tutorial on how to flash stock rom on Asus Zenfone 4. Flashing stock rom on your zenfone 4 will restore it back to its original state. Though it doesn't format the internal memory, it removes ROOT access and Custom recovery like TWRP/Philz installed on your device.

Download Zenfone 4 Stock Rom:

Firstly, you need to identify the software version installed on your zenfone 4. You can simply find this by navigating to Settings -> About -> Software Information -> Build number. Under the build number you can find the software version like WW_5.3.5. Here your software version is 5.3.5.

Now head over to Asus Official Support page and download the stock rom from the device page to your pc.

How to Flash Stock Rom on Asus Zenfone 4:

In this tutorial I'm considering WW_5.3.5 as an example.

1. Once you have downloaded the stock firmware, rename the zip file to WW_5.4.5.
2. Do the same if you have TW version zenfone 4.
3. By renaming the file, the phone gets notified that a new software update is available. But it is the same version as of the current software installed on your phone.
4. Now copy the renamed zip file to internal memory of your zenfone 4 and disconnect the phone from pc.
5. You'll get a notification of available software update package. Go a head and install it.
6. Now your zenfone 4 reboots with a fresh stock rom flashed in it. That's it!

Note: Following the above tutorial to flash stock rom on zenfone 4 doesn't wipe any contents of sdcard, instead, it removes ROOT privileges and restores Custom recovery to Stock. 

Zenfone 4 Stock Rom: Steps to Flash Stock Firmware on Asus Zenfone 4

Hi Zenions, today I'm going to share the tutorial on how to flash stock rom on Asus Zenfone 5. This tutorial is for those who want to restore their zenfone 5 to original state without losing files. This process removes custom recovery, root and any other modifications from your zenfone 5.

Download Zenfone 5 Stock Firmware:

Download zenfone 5 stock rom from the Asus Official website. 

But before that you need to find out the software version installed on your zenfone 5. For this, navigate to Settings -> About -> Software information -> Build number.

Here you can find the software version in the first line under the build number. It looks something like WW_user_3.23.40.52_2015. From the above image the currently installed software version is 3.23.40.52.

Now go to Asus Official Device Support page and find the download link for your current installed version. Download the file to your pc.

Steps to Follow After Downloading the Stock Firmware:

In this tutorial, I'm taking UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.22.40.53-user as example.

1. Once you downloaded the stock firmware, rename it to UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-2.23.40.53-user.
2. By doing this, the system gets notified that a new version of software is available for the phone, but actually it is the same version of your phone.
3. Now copy the zip file to your internal sdcard and disconnect your phone from pc.
4. Now you'll get a notification that a new software version is available, click ok to install it.
5. Your phone reboots with the fresh stock software installed. Done!

Though flashing stock rom doesn't wipe your internal or external memory, your phone will be completely UNROOTED and any CUSTOM recovery installed will be reverted back to Stock.
